Michael Wilson
An experienced independent director, chief executive, managing director, and editor-in-chief with leadership experience in the content creation, broadcasting, media, communications, and digital sectors.
Our Experience
Beech Hill Consultancy was founded by Michael Wilson in 2018, building on 30 years of management in news, communications, and media businesses. Michael’s expertise has helped a wide range of sectors to solve diverse operational challenges.
He is an experienced independent director, chief executive, managing director, and editor-in-chief with leadership experience in the content creation, broadcasting, media, communications, and digital sectors.
Michael held senior roles at national and international level to include Isle of Media, Sky, Sky News Ireland, Five News, UTV Northern Ireland and ITV. He currently advises a number of creative and educational businesses and sits on the Advisory Panel for the UK communications regulator Ofcom in Northern Ireland.
He has significant practical leadership experience in business development, commercial management, communications and media relations, digital growth, social media, journalism, programme making and commissioning, project management and strategic planning.
